A discreet and elegant hotel restaurant in the Black Périgord
15 minutes from Sarlat, an authentic break between the Dordogne and Vézère valleys.
Once upon a time ... a delicate address ... an old 18th century farmhouse nestling in a haven of peace, greenery and beauty in the heart of the Périgord Noir. A character stone building completely renovated to house an unusual place intended to offer a different experience to its guests. A living space dedicated to the art of the table, the art of hospitality but also to the 3rd art.
By deciding to settle in 2007 in the magnificent Dordogne valley that they particularly like, your hosts, Marina and Christophe Milhac have realized the dream of combining their talents and experiences acquired during long-distance trips, to devote to their common passion: gastronomy.
Their adventure begins with the creation of a gourmet address with a unique artistic personality. Indeed, here, art is expressed in the kitchen, of course, according to alliances and original associations that they propose as attractive dishes .... as well as on the walls of the elegant secular home that distills a wide range of works by regional artists.
Originally, a love at first sight between your hosts and the renowned painter Pascal Magis who liked to come here to share convivial moments around cooking that he appreciated. He agreed to exhibit his works there. Today, deceased, his memory and his work endure thanks to his wife Lilou, who continues this "tradition" alongside other artists of international renown who exhibit their works throughout the hotel offering a real extra feel to your stays, whether it be tourist or professional, holiday ora short stay.
Thus, in this privileged environment, with the renowned cuisine of its restaurant and its seminar room, l'Atelier d'Épicure proposes a wholesome stopover in the heart of the Périgord Noir for a gourmet moment, a quiet working session and very soon ( in July 2020) for your nights in the shelter of one of its 9 Aparthotels.
